About Us
The Concept
M.A.H. Creations began with an idea in 2006. A couple of years of prayers later God inspired the total concept and here we are. We are founded on the principles and practices of the woman in Proverbs 31. Each of our designers are Moms-At-Home (M.A.H.) that strive to keep a proper balance in their family life and professional life. The Proverbs 31 woman did just that.
She is productive. Proverbs 31:13, "She seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands."
She has her priorities in order. "She is like the merchant ships, she brings food from afar...she provides food for her household, and a portion for her maidservants." "She considers a field and buys it; from her profits she plants a vineyard." Proverbs 31:14-16
She is practical. In Proverbs 31:24, "she makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies sashes for the merchants".
The M.A.H. design team makes every effort to achieve this balance in our families.
M.A.H. Creations is an organization that believes in the importance of family and the sacrificial love a mother gives to her children specifically by choosing to be a housewife and stay at home mom. M.A.H. was created as an avenue to give these marketable mothers not only a way to express their God-given talents but to enable them to make a financial contribution to their families while enjoying all the benefits of staying at home and raising their children.
Our Mission
M.A.H. Creations is more than just a business. Our purpose is first give all praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who gives us our very breath and every ounce of creativity that pours forth in each product. M.A.H. Creations believes that every home and every family should be afforded the priveledge of a wife that not only meets her families daily needs inside the walls of her home but can also makes a contribution financially to her family. Our company is designed to be an avenue to express creativity and God-given talent and a channel of sanity for moms with toddlers, preschoolers and all ages (all of you moms know just what I mean). Our commitment is to provide these women with a fulfilling, enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Our Team
Tanya Franks - Founder and President
MAH Creations is owned and operated by Tanya Franks. Tanya is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women with a B.A. in Business Administration and Management. She answered God's call to ministry in 1999 and began working as the Singles Ministry Assistant at Bellevue Baptist Church. She met and married her best friend and love of her life, James Franks, in 2000. In 2003, they welcomed their first child, Ethan, to their family. At that time the Lord called Tanya home to be a full-time wife and mother. Lauren was born in 2004, Adrian in 2007 and Addison in 2009. God gave Tanya the vision for M.A.H. Creations several years ago as she took note of the untapped talent among other stay at home moms. In 2007, He gave her the name M.A.H. (Moms At Home) and in 2008 laid the foundation for the company to move forward. M.A.H. Creations is truly a vision from the Lord and it is the goal of this company to give God all the glory and to point others to Jesus, the One and Only. "With God, all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Andrea McGhee-Bowen (Andrea Loves Color) -
Single mom with 2 beautiful little boys. I learned to crochet and knit by watching others and experimenting. I find it really peaceful and relaxing and I like trying to make new and exciting things. My desire to try to do the things I do, comes from my Grandma taking me to fabric stores and letting me touch all the different fabrics and yarn and looking at all the different colors, color has always been something important in my upbringing “Oh look at this color!”,it’s not uncommon for us to buy something just because of the color J. I spent years watching the older members of my family do crafts and make things, and always having the things that my great-grandparents made around the house, still in use after years and years. So, I’d sit and study the things they made and wonder if I could do it too, and so I’d try. Or someone asking me “Hey, do you know how to ,make this?”
and so I’d try. And that’s pretty much how I do things, I wonder,I try and if I can’t figure it out,it just wasn’t meant for me to make that specific thing. Every piece that I make, prayers go into them as I am making them. And I hope they bring the wearer as much peace as it brings me while I’m making them. |
